Team
Invite teammates, pick their roles and manage who can change what in your organization.
Members belong to an organization, and they can see every project in it. Their role decides what they can change. Open Settings (the gear at the bottom of the navigation rail) and choose Team.
Roles
Lander has four roles. The Team page shows the same summary at the bottom.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing and deleting the organization |
| Admin | Manage members, projects and settings |
| Developer | Platforms, domains, API keys, webhooks and links |
| Marketer | Links and analytics |
In more detail:
| Task | Owner | Admin | Developer | Marketer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Create and edit links, view analytics | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Configure platforms and custom domains | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
| Create and revoke API keys | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
| Manage webhooks | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
| Create projects | Yes | Yes | No | No |
| Invite people, change roles, remove members | Yes | Yes (not owners) | No | No |
| Choose a plan and manage billing | Yes | No | No | No |
Admins can manage developers, marketers and other admins, but only owners can make someone an owner or change an owner's role. Every organization keeps at least one owner.
Invite a teammate
Owners and admins see an Invite a teammate card at the top of the page.
Enter their email and role
Type their Email, pick a Role (Developer is preselected), and select Send invite. Admins can invite any role except Owner.
Share the link
Lander emails them a link that works for 7 days, whether or not they already have a Lander account. The card also shows the link with a Copy button, so you can send it yourself. If email is not set up on the server, the card says so and you share the link by hand.
They accept
The link opens an invitation page that says who invited them and with which role. They choose Create an account or I already have an account, then select Join followed by your organization's name. They land in the organization's first project (or in project setup, if the organization has no project yet).
Invitations are tied to an email address
The person has to sign in with the address you invited. If they are signed in with another account, the invitation page offers Sign out and switch account.
Inviting the same address again replaces the earlier invitation with a new link and a fresh 7 days. You cannot invite someone who is already a member.
Pending invitations
Owners and admins see invitations that have not been accepted yet under Pending invitations, with the role and the expiry date (or Expired). Each one has a menu with:
- Copy invite link: copy the link again to resend it.
- Revoke: cancel the invitation. The link stops working.
If someone opens an expired or revoked link, they see a message asking them to request a new invitation.
Change a role
Owners and admins can change a member's role with the Role dropdown in the members table. The change applies right away. You only see the roles you are allowed to assign, and the last owner's role cannot be changed.
Remove a member or leave
Select Remove on a member's row and confirm. They lose access to every project in the organization right away. Links they created keep working.
To leave an organization yourself, select Leave on your own row. You lose access to its projects right away, and an owner or admin can invite you again later. The last owner cannot leave: make someone else an owner first.
Member emails
Everyone in the organization can see who the members are and their roles. Email addresses are only shown to owners and admins (and everyone sees their own).
