Introduction

Lander is deep linking for Flutter apps. Short links that open the right screen, on iOS and Android, installed or not.

Lander is deep linking without the fuss. You create a short link like https://acme.golander.link/summer-sale, someone taps it, and your Flutter app opens on the screen the link points to. If the app is not installed yet, Lander sends them to the store and, wherever it can do so honestly, still brings them to that screen after install.

It is built for Flutter first, priced in public (from $10 a month), and set up in an afternoon.

What you can do

  • Open the right screen. Every link carries an in app route, such as /product/123, plus optional parameters. Your app gets both on one stream and hands the route to your router.
  • Route by platform. Choose where a link goes on iOS, Android and desktop when the app is not installed: the App Store, Google Play, or your own web page.
  • Recover links after install. Deferred deep linking works out of the box on Android and through explicit, privacy friendly flows on iOS. Every result says how sure Lander is: deterministic, probabilistic or unattributed.
  • Create links anywhere. From the dashboard, from your server with the Links API, or from inside the app for share and invite flows.
  • See what happened. Clicks, app opens, installs and your own conversion events, with bot traffic filtered out.
  • Skip the server chores. Lander generates and hosts the apple-app-site-association and assetlinks.json files your link domain needs.

How the pieces fit

Lander is three parts that ship together:

PartWhat it does
Flutter SDK (lander_flutter)Receives Universal Links, App Links and custom scheme URLs, resolves them to your Lander link, delivers them on Lander.onDeepLink, creates links in app and reports events.
Short links on the edgeServes your link domain from Cloudflare's edge: redirects each tap to the app, the store or a fallback, hosts the .well-known files and serves social previews to crawlers.
Dashboard (app.golander.link)Where you set up your apps, create links and keys, and read analytics. Test and live data are kept apart.
  tap on https://acme.golander.link/summer-sale
                 |
app installed? ---- yes ---> app opens directly ---> SDK resolves the link ---> router.go('/sale/summer')
                 |
                 no
                 v
Lander edge: App Store, Google Play or your fallback URL
                 |
after install, first launch ---> SDK asks Lander for a deferred link ---> same screen
