Overview

A tour of the Lander dashboard, how it is laid out and how its URLs work.

The dashboard at app.golander.link is where you and your team create links, connect your iOS and Android apps, create API keys and watch how links perform. This page is a quick tour so you know where everything lives.

Organizations and projects

Everything in Lander belongs to a project, and every project belongs to an organization.

  • An organization holds your team, roles and billing. Most companies have one.
  • A project is one app. It has its own links, short link domain, platforms, API keys and analytics.

Every page inside a project lives under the organization slug and project slug:

https://app.golander.link/{org}/{project}/...

For example, the Links page of the shop project in the acme organization is app.golander.link/acme/shop/links. Because the workspace is part of the URL, you can paste any dashboard URL to a teammate and they land on the same page (as long as they are a member of that organization).

A few shortcuts are built in:

  • app.golander.link/ takes you back to the last project you visited, or your first project if this is a new browser. With no projects yet, it sends you to onboarding.
  • app.golander.link/{org} opens the first project in that organization.

The layout

Icon rail

On desktop, a narrow rail runs down the left side. Hover an icon to see its name and keyboard shortcut.

  • The Lander mark at the top goes to the Overview.
  • The workspace switcher (the tile with your organization's initial) opens the project and organization menu, described below.
  • Main navigation: Overview, Links, Analytics, Campaigns and Live events.
  • Build navigation, below a divider: Debugger, Platforms, Domains and SDK.
  • At the bottom: the Settings menu (API keys, Team, Webhooks, Billing), the Create link button (the plus icon, shortcut C) and Toggle theme.

On small screens the rail is hidden. Tap Open navigation (the menu icon in the top left) for a sheet with the same pages, grouped as main, Build and Settings.

Across the top of every project page:

  • Search links, pages and actions opens the command palette (⌘ K).
  • Finish setup shows how many setup steps are done, for example 3/5, and links to the checklist on the Overview. It disappears once every step is done.
  • Test / Live switches the environment. See Environments.
  • Your account menu (your initials) shows your name and email, a Theme choice (Light, Dark or System) and Sign out.

While you are in test mode, a thin amber strip at the very top reads "Test mode: links, keys and events here are separate from live data".

Workspace switcher

The switcher menu holds:

  • Your link domain at the top. Click it to copy the hostname ("Link domain copied"). This is the value people paste most often, for example into Xcode's Associated Domains.
  • Projects in your organization. The current one has a check mark.
  • New project, for owners and admins.
  • Organizations you belong to, each with your role (Owner, Admin, Developer or Marketer).
  • New organization.

Command palette

Press ⌘ K (or Ctrl K) anywhere. It has three groups:

  • Actions: Create link, Switch to live mode (or Switch to test mode) and Toggle theme.
  • Go to: every page in the navigation, with its shortcut.
  • Switch project: every other project you can access, across organizations.

Most pages also have a G then letter shortcut, for example G L for Links. The full list is in Keyboard shortcuts.

The Overview page

The Overview answers one question first: is everything working? It has a date range picker (Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Last 90 days, 30 by default) and a Create link button.

From top to bottom:

  1. Get Lander working in your app, the setup checklist, until every step is done. See Getting started.
  2. Four headline numbers for the current environment and range, each compared with the previous period of the same length:
    • Clicks (bots excluded)
    • App opens (reported by the SDK)
    • Installs (after a link)
    • Click to open (opens and installs per click)
  3. Once there is activity:
    • Platforms: clicks from iOS, Android and desktop, with a Ready or Set up badge showing whether each app is configured.
    • Top links: your best links in the period, with clicks, open rate and installs.
    • Plan: your plan and this period's link clicks and SDK events against its limits, with a Billing and usage button.
    • Link activity: clicks and app opens per day.
    • Conversion: clicks, opens, installs and conversions as a share of clicks.
    • Launches: a calendar of the days you created links this month.
    • Live events: the newest events, refreshed every 10 seconds.

Until the first click arrives, you see "No link activity yet" with buttons to Install the SDK and Create link.

Roles at a glance

What you can do depends on your role in the organization:

RoleCan manage
OwnerEverything, including billing and deleting the organization
AdminMembers, projects and settings
DeveloperPlatforms, domains, API keys, webhooks and links
MarketerLinks and analytics

Marketers can view the Platforms page but not change it, and cannot see API keys or webhooks. More on roles in Team.
